I proudly present: "organizational procrastination"! 🥳😳This is my term for a common problem: organizations avoiding the hard stuff – culture, communication, the real gristle. They introduce new chat tools, buy fancy desks, host game nights. There's nothing wrong with those... but it's like cleaning your apartment to avoid writing a report. Comforting, but it dodges the real work. The fix? Start a real conversation with your team. What's working, what's not.As we dive into the New Year, let's cut the procrastination.Let's get real.

It’s one thing to have a set of Core Values it’s another to use and keep them alive. Jordon on the Creative Roots Team does a great job owning this task. He keeps the communication going through a group Signal chat, runs contests, asks for input and reports on progress in our company wide huddle. Our Core Values are more than just words on our wall…..they are part of our culture and help guide our behaviours.#corevalues#employeeengagement#greatgameofbusiness#openbookmanagement

Hey, you! Yes, I'm talking to you, the one wearing all the hats. It's time to let go and delegate some tasks.I know, I know, you're great at doing everything. But running yourself into the ground isn't a long-term strategy.Delegating some tasks to others on the team will help them grow and take on new challenges. Plus, it can free up your time to focus on the bigger picture.Delegation = growth for everyone. So, let's do this. Let's help our team members shine, and our businesses grow!

Day 11 of the 75 Hard Business Challenge:Today's realization hits home hard: in the early days, managing communication and the team felt like a breeze with our small group. But as we've grown, it's become a tangled web to navigate. It's a bit grounding, honestly. I've come to understand that each person, from every corner of the company, needs to bring their A-game to the table for us to keep pushing forward. It's a mix of excitement and anxiety, knowing that our success hinges on every individual giving their absolute best. Today, I'm recommitting to fostering open communication and ensuring everyone feels empowered to make their mark on our journey. #75HardChallenge #TeamGrowth #EmotionalJourney
